Manipur faces a two-day shutdown due to demands for security reforms and responses to recent violence.

The Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has announced a two-day shutdown of all government offices in Manipur, excluding emergency services, due to the government's failure to address their demands. These demands include a review of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), action against Kuki-Zo militants, and declaring certain militant groups as unlawful. The shutdown follows the discovery of six bodies in Jiribam district and the abduction and killing of six Meitei relief camp inmates. COCOMI also called for a boycott of Union Home Minister Amit Shah until the conflict is resolved.
