Malaysian court grants 'discharge not amounting to acquittal' to Najib Razak over $1.6 billion case due to delays.

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and ex-Treasury secretary-general Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah have been granted a "discharge not amounting to an acquittal" (DNAA) in a case over RM6.6 billion in government funds used for payments to IPIC. The Kuala Lumpur High Court ruled this due to significant delays and the prosecution's failure to provide essential documents. The decision does not prevent recharging the accused, who could still face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
