Kentucky's Attorney General Russell Coleman expanded an opioid-related lawsuit to include OptumRx, accusing the pharmacy benefit manager of contributing to the state's addiction crisis. OptumRx is alleged to have played a central role in promoting, dispensing, and oversupplying opioids, which have led to some of the nation's highest overdose death rates in Kentucky. The lawsuit seeks civil penalties for violations of the Kentucky Consumer Protection Act.
