Indianapolis police officer Herman Means arrested for domestic battery, strangulation.
An Indianapolis police officer, Herman Means, was arrested on charges of domestic battery and strangulation following a report at his home in Whiteland. Means, a 7-year veteran of the department, is on administrative leave and his police authority has been suspended. The Johnson County prosecutor will decide the final charges. This incident follows another recent arrest of an IMPD officer, Shane Decker, on voyeurism charges.
