India has deployed 33 supercomputers, totaling 32 petaflops, by November 21, 2024, under its National Supercomputing Mission. This initiative, launched in 2015, allows India to design, develop, and manufacture supercomputers domestically, reducing reliance on imports. The supercomputers, including three PARAM Rudra units in Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata, support advanced research in physics, earth sciences, and cosmology.
