China's film box office drops 21% this year, but domestic films lead the top 10, with comedies dominating.

China's box office revenue reached 40 billion yuan ($5.56 billion) by November 27th, marking a 21% decline from last year. Despite the drop, eight of the top 10 highest-grossing films are domestic, led by "YOLO," "Pegasus 2," and "Successor." The most successful foreign films are "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" and "The Boy and the Heron." Comedy dominates, accounting for half of the year's box office revenue.
