Buffalo Sabres welcome back leading scorer Tage Thompson as they face the Minnesota Wild.

The Buffalo Sabres are set to welcome back star forward Tage Thompson on Wednesday for their game against the Minnesota Wild, following his five-game absence due to a lower-body injury. Thompson, who leads the team with 11 goals and 18 points, practiced fully and is expected to start. To make room for Thompson, prospect Isak Rosen has been sent back to the minors. The Sabres have had a successful run, winning four of their last five games, including a sweep of their West Coast trip. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Wild, second in the Central Division with 30 points in 21 games, are coming off a loss to the Winnipeg Jets.
