Vodafone expands mobile network in Northern Queensland and Albury-Wodonga, adding 47 sites, but faces local skepticism.

Vodafone is expanding its mobile network in Northern Queensland and Albury-Wodonga, adding 47 new sites and increasing tower coverage to address connectivity issues. Despite this, some locals remain skeptical, preferring current providers like Telstra due to reliability concerns. Telstra has also invested significantly in its network, covering 89% of the population with 5G. The Vodafone expansion in Albury-Wodonga will use existing infrastructure and is set to launch in January 2025.
