Twenty-nine people died after a building collapse in Tanzania; over 80 were rescued.

In Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, a building collapse in the Kariakoo area has resulted in 29 deaths after a 10-day rescue operation. Over 80 people were rescued from the four-story structure, which housed many shops. The building owner was arrested, and President Samia Suluhu Hassan ordered a building audit in the area. Building collapses are common during the rainy season and often due to poor construction.
