Texas DPS and Arkansas State Police will boost traffic enforcement and warn of road safety during Thanksgiving.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) will increase traffic enforcement from November 27 to December 1 to ensure road safety during the Thanksgiving holiday. Troopers will focus on seatbelt use, DWI, speeding, and Move Over, Slow Down law violations. Last year, DPS issued over 41,000 warnings and citations, resulting in multiple arrests. The Arkansas State Police also warned of increased road rage incidents due to heavy holiday traffic, advising drivers to practice courtesy and avoid aggressive behavior.
