Jimmy Somerville fights to remove his song "Smalltown Boy" from a film by the anti-trans LGB Alliance.
Jimmy Somerville, lead singer of Bronski Beat, is fighting to remove his song "Smalltown Boy" from a film by the LGB Alliance, a group he describes as "anti-trans." The LGB Alliance has been criticized for opposing transgender rights. Somerville, who released the song in 1984, says he would never allow his music to be used by such a group and is working to have it removed from the film "Generational Gay."
