Indian state leaders boost paddy procurement, ensuring faster payments and bonuses for farmers.

Telangana's Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered officials to expedite paddy procurement and ensure farmers receive payments promptly, including a bonus for fine grain varieties. He instructed strict action against irregularities and set up additional staff at procurement centers. Reddy also announced a farmers' festival in Mahabubnagar on November 30 to showcase modern farming technologies. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh reports a record paddy procurement of over 7.28 lakh metric tons, up from 5.79 lakh metric tons last year, with payments to farmers within 48 hours.
