Gas prices in Michigan have dropped by 12 cents to $3.01 per gallon ahead of Thanksgiving, down 17 cents from last month and 18 cents from last year. Metro Detroit's average is $3.06 per gallon, down 7 cents from last week. The decrease is attributed to lower gasoline demand and increased stocks, despite reduced production. AAA predicts nearly 2.3 million Michiganders will travel by car during the holiday.
