Delayed and over-budget MV Glen Sannox ferry begins trials, facing anchor issues but performing well on LNG system.

The MV Glen Sannox, a long-delayed and over-budget ferry, has left Inverclyde for trials in Troon, set to serve the Troon-Brodick route temporarily. Construction issues led to a six-year delay and cost overruns, initially budgeted at £97 million. The ferry’s anchor system faced issues, but a permanent fix is planned. Interim CEO John Petticrew extended his contract until Easter as Ferguson Marine struggles to find a permanent CEO. Despite challenges, the ferry's LNG system is performing well, with plans to implement it on the second ferry, Glen Rosa.
