About 1,450 lobster boats in southern Nova Scotia are set to begin Canada's largest lobster fishery on Tuesday morning, one day later than originally planned due to rough weather. Each boat carries between 300 and 400 traps, making the first day of the season particularly dangerous. Last year, the fishing areas involved generated a total landed value of about $558 million.
