TotalEnergies and Air Liquide are constructing a renewable hydrogen plant in France to cut CO2 emissions.

TotalEnergies and Air Liquide are building a renewable hydrogen plant at La Mède biorefinery in France, set to begin operations in 2028. The project aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 130,000 tons annually and complements TotalEnergies' Masshylia project with ENGIE, targeting 10,000 tons of green hydrogen per year by 2029. These initiatives support TotalEnergies' goal to decarbonize European refineries, reducing emissions by nearly three million tons annually by 2030.
