Study finds books are the most cost-effective children's toys, costing just 31p per play.
A study by Yoto, involving 1,000 parents, shows books are the most cost-effective children's toy at just 31p per play, while tablets cost nearly £5 per use. Bicycles, electric toys, and fantasy playsets are among the least valuable, averaging over £4 per play. Educational and outdoor toys offer better value, with shape sorters at 69p and outdoor toys at £1.25 per use. Parents often regret expensive toys as kids lose interest quickly, with about six expensive toys no longer played with.
