Gas prices in South Carolina rose by 3.5 cents this week to $2.74 per gallon, still down by 3.2 cents from a month ago and 13.6 cents from a year ago. The national average is $3.01 per gallon, down by 11.2 cents from last month. Prices in Myrtle Beach have dropped to $2.58 per gallon, nearly 10 cents lower than last month. Despite the weekly increase, South Carolina's gas prices remain near their lowest point since 2021, offering relief to holiday travelers.
