Nepal's court extends detention of ex-home minister Rabi Lamichhane for 15 more days over fraud allegations.

Nepal's court has extended the detention of former home minister Rabi Lamichhane by 15 days as part of an investigation into cooperative fraud and money laundering. Lamichhane, along with three others, was initially arrested on October 18. The extension, granted by Judge Himalal Belbase, brings the total detention period to 40 days. The allegations stem from a parliamentary committee report that implicated Lamichhane in financial wrongdoing while managing a television network. His legal team argues there is insufficient evidence.
