Jack James Peterson, 29, pleaded guilty to assaulting a corrections officer with a squash racquet at Brisbane Correctional Centre in January 2023, aiming to be transferred away from drug dealers. Peterson, already serving a nine-year sentence for torture offenses, received an additional 18 months, pushing his parole eligibility to February 2026. He has five prior convictions for assaulting correctional officers.
