India's Lok Sabha adopts digital pens and tablets for attendance to move towards a paperless parliament.

During the Winter Session of India's Parliament, the Lok Sabha, members can now use digital pens and electronic tablets to mark their attendance, as part of Speaker Om Birla's initiative to make the Parliament paperless. Tablets are placed at four counters in the chamber's lobby, with a team of engineers available for assistance. While physical registers are still available, the aim is to improve efficiency and reduce paper use.
