India approves two hydropower projects totaling ₹3,689 crore to boost power supply and local economy.

The Indian government has approved two hydropower projects in Arunachal Pradesh, totaling ₹3,689 crore. The projects, the 186MW Tato-I and the 240MW Heo, aim to enhance power supply and balance the national grid. Implemented through joint ventures with the state government and NEEPCO, they will receive central budgetary support and are expected to boost local infrastructure and employment.
