India approves $1 billion railway projects to boost connectivity and economy between Mumbai and Prayagraj.
The Indian Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved three railway projects worth ₹7,927 crore to enhance connectivity and reduce congestion on the Mumbai-Prayagraj route.
These projects, part of the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan, will add around 639 km to the rail network, facilitating transportation of goods like agricultural products and coal, and boosting tourism by improving access to sites like the Ajanta and Ellora caves.
