The world's largest 100 asset owners reached a record $26.3 trillion in assets under management in 2023, a 12.3% increase from the previous year. Pension funds lead with 51.2% of assets, though they saw the smallest growth rate at 8.9%. Sovereign wealth funds manage 38.9% of assets, and the top 20 owners hold $14.6 trillion. The Japanese Government Pension Investment Fund is the largest, followed by Norway's Norges Bank and China Investment Corporation.
