A new diverging diamond interchange has opened at the intersection of 8 Mile and Telegraph Road in Detroit, aiming to improve traffic flow and safety for about 60,000 daily drivers. The $54 million project also includes rebuilding 1.4 miles of road, five bridges, and enhancing drainage and pedestrian facilities. Currently, two lanes are open in each direction, with plans to open two more lanes by mid-December.
