Deloitte's Privacy Index 2024 report shows a significant drop in consumer trust regarding how organizations handle personal information, largely due to AI and data breaches. Among 1,000 Australian consumers, 30% do not trust any industry with their data, while 50% avoid products or services due to excessive data requests. Despite this, 89% believe trust can be regained. Deloitte recommends improving AI and ADM practices and enhancing transparency to rebuild consumer confidence.
