Charity warns of £100,000 extra annual cost due to NICs rise, seeks parliamentary debate.

The Essex and Herts Air Ambulance charity has alerted Marie Goldman, Liberal Democrat Commons leader, about the financial strain caused by an upcoming 1.2% increase in Employer National Insurance Contributions (NICs) starting April 2025. This increase will add £100,000 annually to the charity's costs, which already exceed £1 million monthly. The charity, which conducted 2,635 missions last year, seeks a parliamentary debate to mitigate the impact on charities.
