Avian influenza confirmed at a Japanese duck farm, leading to the culling of 2,500 ducks.

An avian influenza outbreak has been confirmed at a duck farm in Gyoda City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, marking the first case in the region this season. After several ducks died, genetic testing confirmed the virus. In response, 2,500 ducks were culled, and a 3-kilometer movement restriction and a 10-kilometer shipping restriction were implemented. This is the 11th case of avian influenza at a poultry farm in Japan this season.
