Arpita Mukherjee, tied to the West Bengal school jobs scam, granted bail after two years in custody.

Arpita Mukherjee, an aide to former West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee, was granted bail after two years in custody over the school jobs scam. Mukherjee must furnish a Rs 5 lakh bond, stay within Kolkata, and cooperate with ongoing investigations. Gold and cash were recovered from her properties. Chatterjee remains in custody as his bail request is pending.
