Animal rights activists Tash Peterson and Jack Higgs must pay $280,000 to the owners of a Perth veterinary clinic for defamation. The dispute began when Peterson and Higgs accused the clinic owners, Dr. Kay McIntosh and Andrew McIntosh, of animal mistreatment, sharing their claims on social media. The Supreme Court of Western Australia ruled that their language during a confrontation was defamatory.
