Airport workers in Charlotte plan to strike on Monday, citing wages too low to live on.

Service workers at Charlotte Douglas International Airport plan to strike on Monday at 5 a.m. during the busy Thanksgiving travel week, protesting unlivable wages. The workers, employed by ABM and Prospect Airport Services and contracted by American Airlines, earn between $12.50 and $19 an hour, which they claim is insufficient for basic needs. The strike coincides with a record-breaking 1.02 million passengers expected to travel through the airport during the holiday season.
