West Virginia University's Women's Cross Country team secured a second-place finish at the NCAA National Championship, their best result since 2016. The Mountaineers scored 164 points at the Zimmer Championship Course in Madison, Wisconsin, finishing just behind BYU. Coach Sean Cleary praised the team's performance, highlighting the difficulty of the achievement. This marks the first time since women's soccer in 2016 that a WVU team has placed as national runner-up.
