Sindh's Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, insists on constitutional protection for the 1991 Water Accord to safeguard Sindh’s water rights. Shah, representing the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) which holds a two-thirds majority in the Sindh assembly, vows not to compromise on water shares and opposes the Kalabagh Dam. He also mentions plans to restore students' unions and engage in dialogue with the PML-N to address concerns.
