Japanese Foreign Minister to visit China to restart talks on military activities, detained nationals, and seafood imports.

Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya plans to visit China in late December to meet with Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, aiming to resume high-level talks and discuss issues like military activities and the detention of Japanese nationals. The visit follows an agreement between PM Shigeru Ishiba and President Xi Jinping. Iwaya will also urge China to restart imports of Japanese seafood, banned due to Fukushima's water release. Additionally, China will restart visa-free travel for Japanese visitors on Nov. 30, allowing stays of up to 30 days.
