Iran will host the 28th Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) meeting in Mashhad next week. ECO, founded in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey, aims to boost economic, political, and cultural ties among its 10 member states. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi will lead the meeting, which will include foreign ministers, senior officials, and other key figures from regional and multilateral economic organizations. Iran currently holds the rotating ECO presidency.
