Indian minister vows to boost farmers through cooperatives, outlines funding and intern schemes.

Indian Union Minister Amit Shah emphasized the government's commitment to improving farmers' lives through cooperatives at the NCDC meeting in New Delhi. Shah highlighted NCDC's role in the rural economy and proposed a five-year plan to boost sugar mills' financial capacity with funding up to ₹25,000 crore. He also introduced a Cooperative Intern scheme to support cooperative banks and PACS, and called for a focus on milk cooperatives in northeastern states.
