India launches projects worth ₹77 crore to bio-remediate waste, freeing up land in Ludhiana.

The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation in India has launched two waste management projects worth ₹77 crore to address legacy waste. The projects aim to bio-remediate 19.62 lakh metric tonnes of waste at Jamalpur and 2 lakh metric tonnes at Jainpur. Costing ₹70 crore and ₹7.62 crore respectively, they will free up land for future projects. The initiatives are part of a broader plan to improve solid waste management in the city.
