Governor Okpebholo restores Benin Traditional Council's rights and control over ancient artifacts.

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has abolished new traditional councils in Edo South and restored the Benin Traditional Council's financial rights. He also reinstated the Oba of Benin's full rights over ancient artifacts looted in 1897, aligning with federal directives. Okpebholo withdrew a previous letter revoking the Oba Akenzua II Cultural Centre's concession, aiming to improve relations with traditional institutions.
