Four Asian women writers discussed their writing journeys and the impact of storytelling in a dialogue organized by the Beijing October Arts and Literature Publishing House, which drew over 1.4 million online viewers. The writers, including Gong Ji-yeong from South Korea, Li Zishu from Malaysia, and Qiao Ye and Liao Jing from China, shared how their passion for writing began at a young age and was shaped by their early experiences with reading. Qiao Ye, a winner of China's top literary award, started writing essays while teaching in a small village.
