BJP-led Odisha Assembly begins its second session, marking the start of their rule post-election win.

The second session of Odisha's Legislative Assembly begins on November 26, following an all-party meeting on November 25. The session runs until December 31 and will start with the presentation of the 2024-25 supplementary budget. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the recent assembly elections, ending the Biju Janata Dal's (BJD) 24-year rule. The BJP now holds 78 seats in the 147-member assembly, while the BJD has 51 seats.
