Brad Parga, a 17-year-old from New Jersey, was sentenced to two years in a Florida prison and three years of probation for making false reports of mass shootings at Milton High School in Florida in 2022. These "swatting" calls, intended to gain media attention, led to a large law enforcement response and disrupted the school. Parga was convicted of a felony and a misdemeanor for the false reports and for interfering with school administration.
