Trinidad's PM urges Caribbean nations to fight crime through new laws and data sharing at symposium.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley of Trinidad and Tobago addressed a regional symposium in Guyana, emphasizing efforts to fight crime and violence across the Caribbean. The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is finalizing an Arrest Warrant Bill and a Gang Database to prevent criminals from evading justice across borders. The region has also improved its ballistic tracking capabilities and is nearing completion of passenger information bills to enhance data sharing and combat transnational crime.
