A shooting in Chicago's Austin neighborhood left one man dead and a licensed food vendor wounded.

A shooting occurred in Chicago's Austin neighborhood on Friday night, resulting in the death of a 30-year-old man and injuries to a 35-year-old food vendor with a concealed-carry license. The altercation happened around 8:50 p.m. on South Central Avenue. Both individuals exchanged gunfire after a brief confrontation. The suspect died from multiple gunshot wounds, while the vendor was shot in the arm and is in good condition. Two firearms were recovered, and police are investigating.
