The Pittsburgh Pirates declined contract offers to key players Bryan De La Cruz, Connor Joe, and Hunter Stratton.

The Pittsburgh Pirates did not extend contract offers to Bryan De La Cruz, Connor Joe, and Hunter Stratton by Friday's deadline. De La Cruz and Joe were projected to earn $4 million and $3.2 million through arbitration, respectively. Stratton, who had a 3.58 ERA before a season-ending patella tendon injury, was also non-tendered. The team acquired reliever Peter Strzelecki from the Cleveland Guardians for cash considerations.
