Due to a malfunctioning maintenance vehicle, Shinkansen bullet train services near Tokyo experienced delays on Saturday morning, affecting around 4,900 passengers. Services between Omiya and Takasaki were temporarily halted, with trains on the Joetsu Shinkansen Line delayed up to 45 minutes and those on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line delayed up to 33 minutes. Normal services resumed shortly after 7 a.m. local time.
