The Los Angeles Angels made pitcher Patrick Sandoval a free agent after declining his contract.

The Los Angeles Angels have made left-handed pitcher Patrick Sandoval a free agent after declining to offer him a contract. Sandoval, 28, who had been projected to earn around $6 million, underwent Tommy John surgery in June and is expected to miss the 2024 season. Despite his injury, Sandoval could still secure a modest two-year deal. The Angels also non-tendered three other players: outfielders Jordyn Adams and Bryce Teodosio, and infielder Eric Wagaman.
