Genetic evidence suggests leopards may be living in parts of England. In Gloucestershire, black animal hair matched 99.9% to the leopard species 'Panthera Pardus'. DNA from carcasses in Cumbria also aligned with the Panthera genus. Despite skepticism, this evidence challenges previous dismissals of big cat sightings in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
