Former CEO Allan Leighton, 71, is set to become the new chairman of UK supermarket Asda.
Asda, the UK's struggling supermarket chain, is set to appoint Allan Leighton, 71, as its new chairman. Leighton, a former CEO known for helping save Asda from bankruptcy in the 1990s, will replace current chairman Lord Stuart Rose, who will transition to a non-executive director role. Asda did not comment on the appointment.
