In the ongoing Jharkhand and Maharashtra elections, BJP's Champai Soren leads in Seraikela with a significant margin, while Shiv Sena's Murji Patel is confident of winning Andheri East in Maharashtra with over 20,000 votes. The Maharashtra elections saw a voter turnout of over 66%, higher than the 2019 figure. Both the Mahayuti and MVA alliances are competing for seats, with counting also underway for by-polls in 15 states.
