Bamburi Cement faces a control battle with Savanna Clinker offering Sh76.55 and Amsons Group Sh65 per share.

Kenya's leading cement maker, Bamburi Cement, is in a control battle between Savanna Clinker and Tanzania's Amsons Group. Shareholders must vote by December 5. Savanna Clinker increased its offer to Sh76.55 per share, totaling Sh27.8 billion, while Amsons Group offered Sh65 per share, or Sh23.59 billion. Bamburi will reveal the preferred bid by December 20, with payments to shareholders scheduled for February 28, 2025.
